Since 2002, Konnech has assisted electoral authorities to deliver elections effectively.

With a mutual respect for democracy and ensuring safe and secure elections, Konnech Australia was established in January 2018 by Eugene Yu and Greg Denton.

A 100% fully owned subsidiary of Konnech Inc, Konnech Australia brings international experience in election logistic and management systems, having worked with electoral authorities serving over 25 million voters across Australia, Canada and the United States of America.

In 2018, Konnech Australia won a competitive tender to design, develop and deliver a new Election Logistics System for the Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ).

Designed to support a number of ECQ electoral activities including electoral administration, planning and preparation for an election, managing an election and reporting on, analysing and evaluating an electoral event, Konnech Australia provides support for more than 300 ECQ processes or functionalities, incorporating them into a single, integrated election management software-based system.

Konnech Australia’s Brisbane-based team of programmers, data analysts and coders are working closely with the Electoral Commission of Queensland to ensure the efficient and effective running of elections.


Eugene Yu

Founder and President

Eugune is the founder and President of the Konnech group of companies. With more than 40 years industry experience in engineering, business, and leadership, Eugene founded Konnech to create an IT company dedicated to the development of functional software to support the election process. Since its establishment, Eugene has lead the growth of Konnech into the dominant software provider in the sector.

Eugene is the Chairman of Konnech Australia PTY Ltd. He has a masters in business administration from Wake Forest University (North Carolina) and undergraduate degrees in Internal Combustion Engine Design.

Greg Denton

Australian Director

With more than 20 years industry experience in business, leadership, commercial, governance and regulation roles across both the public and private sector.

Leading a local team of highly regarded ICT specialists who have transformed Queensland’s election management systems, Greg is passionate about streamlining election processes and increasing voter engagement.

He has previously held a series of executive roles with Western Power and WorleyParsons, the latter of which included stints in South Africa and North America.

Greg has a masters in business administration from Wake Forest University (North Carolina) and undergraduate degrees in finance, economics and political studies.

He is a former chairman of the Sustainable Energy Association of Australian and is a director of a number of privately held businesses.

Greg is overseeing Konnech’s expansion across Australia and Asia Pacific region and is responsible for its governance and administration.

Phil Woolley

General Manager

Having held senior positions in both the public and private sector, Phil Woolley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Konnech Australia team.

Phil has held CIO and Executive Management positions within the Queensland and Northern Territory Public Sectors and has provided independent consulting and advisory services to a range of clients including financial services, health and in the NGO sector.

Highly regarded for his experience in managing and building strong and trusted relationships, Phil’s focus at Konnech is ensuring and supporting the successful delivery of ICTP projects and optimising operation and contractual performance.

Charles Hong

Project Manager

Having completed his Masters Degree from the University of Technology Sydney, Charles brings his extensive experience in data mining and analytics to Konnech Australia.

Charles has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of New South Wales.

Eunice Ng

Assistant Project Manager

With a Masters in International Business from QUT and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Communication and Media Management from University of South Australia, Eunice Ng is experienced in working across multiple digital platformsby ensuring business objectives are met in an ever changing environment.

Eunice currently sits on QUT’s Board of Advisory where she provides insights and research findings. She has worked with multiple senior industry partners to ensure programs are based on behaviours and market trends.

Eunice was one of three students to represent Australia in the Kyoto Negotiation Challenge in 2019 and was a finalist in the 2019 QUTCS X Deloitte Case Competition.In 2015, she won the Gold Award in the EFFIR Awards (Malaysia) and was a finalist in the APAC Effie Awards in 2016.Eunice also holds the Institute Practitioners of Advertising (Foundation Certificate). She holds a profound interest in aligning businesses’ needs and helping clients to meet their objectives.

Otto Hung

Technical Team Manager

Otto is a seasoned software engineer with a history of working on architecture design and development.

With a master’s degree in software architecture from QUT, Otto brings more than nine years industry experience in software architecture design and developing including:

  • e-Commerce System

Otto is currently implementing and maintaining EDS API and some Reporting Functionalities for the Election Management System.

Tony Liu

Senior Business Analyst

Using his skills from the University of Queensland where he graduated with a master’s in information systems management, Tony is one of Konnech Australia’s experienced data analysts.

Graduating from the National Taiwan Ocean University where he obtained his Masters of Economics, Tony is recognised for his experience in analysing international trade in Central America.

Tony has experience working with:

Sam Matuschek

Business Analyst

A bilingual political science graduate of the University of Queensland, Sam has a passion for political processes, voting systems and policy.

Having recently completed Konnech Australia’s graduate program, Sam uses his understanding of government processes and structured business analysis to solve clients’ problems using software.

Sam seeks to grow into a technical policy role, where he will specialise in translating electoral legislation into software requirements.

Sam is a Research Volunteer for the International Association of Political Science Students and has completed the US Embassy Diplomatic Leadership Course.
